** Recipe included in my new low carb, gluten free cookbook, Low Carbing Among Friends. Please check it out at our website @ www.amongfriends.us ** In partnership with FaveDiets ( http ) recipe site, I wanted to produce an original recipe that was developed out of a comment made on my buffalo wings about using diet orange soda instead of cola. I took that idea and thought about making orange chicken out of the idea. I am pretty pleased with the outcome, but if you aren’t a huge fan of spicy foods, you might want to back off the crushed red pepper amount. Note: even though the carbs are less than 3g per servings, this recipe as made is not Induction friendly, but I have provided the options on how to make it Induction friendly. The chicken strips sans the orange sauce also make delicious meal too. I was almost tempted to make two separate videos because the chicken strips are that good, but I’ll likely just refer to this one in the future. I hope you guys like this original creation. *Join the Facebook page – www.facebook.com * My Low Carb Blog – www.atkinsdietgeek.com Ingredients 3 Large Chicken Breasts, cut into small pieces 2 eggs 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese 1/2 cup Splendid Baking Mix 1/2 cup Heavy Cream 1/2 cup Soy Sauce 1 can Diet Orange Soda (sweetened with Splenda or Stevia — one example – bit.ly ) 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper 1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum 1 tsp Orange Peel, shredded Serving Size: (makes 5-6 servings) 469 Calories …

@cutecasarizona Depends if you are within the first 14 days or not, within the first 14 days Parmesan cheese would be my coating of choice. After that, coconut flour could be used, but I am? more likely to still use Parmesan or a combination of the two. In the Low Carbing Among Friends cookbook, I used Parmesan to make it (IF).

do you think that coconut flour can be used for an induction safe version? just curious? .. thanks for all your awesome recipes & the time you take to make them!

@Rockabillyforumscom No problem, and thanks for the feedback. I have been tempted to buy one of those soda stream machines myself. Being? able to control how much flavor or sweetness my soda would be a good thing.

Thanks for the recipe, I made it tonight and it was delicious. I didn’t have canned orange soda because I use Soda? Stream as my soda of choice. They do have Diet Orange that is made with Splenda and no high fructose corn syrup. So I used 12oz. of it and it worked perfectly with the recipe! Thanks again for all your videos!

@Jallandhara wasup “bro”? You? weigh 450 pounds and you cant stick to the diet this guy has achieved?
cheer up

@Jallandhara?
Wow, you’re a real DICK.

@maysoona99 Just use a double coating of Parmesan cheese instead of the baking mix, and the reason about the aspartame is that it is not heat stable. That means you can’t cook without it breaking down? into nasty tasting chemical components.
January 28, 2012
2 questions: what can I use instead of the baking mix?
why? can’t we use aspartame drink?

@bigwhey I do weight lift, and it is usually 2x? per week (primarily upper back and chest). My legs are generally worked during my runs and hill workouts that beating them up further in the gym is not advised. I also work my ab region, but I should be more regimented with those workouts than I have been recently.
January 28, 2012
@bowulf thanks for the quick response. I know you run a lot? and do marathons and I was wondering if you incorporate weight lifting in during the week (not implying you should, just wondering what your workouts consist of)
January 28, 2012
@bigwhey I would start with 2 TBS and? progress from there. I don’t know how “orangey” the syrup is, but that would be a good start.
January 28, 2012
Hey Kent, I have DaVinci Splenda Orange syrup, will you please give me an estimate of how much I could use of that instead of the orange soda. Thanks?

@Jallandhara Being a model or in a fitness? competition with 6-8% just isn’t high on my list of priorities. If it’s on yours, great go forth and prosper, but you can troll elsewhere.

@Jallandhara Bro? Seriously update your vocabulary.
First, I am glad your eyes are better gauge of body fat that tape measures and body impedance tests. The lower belly fat is loose skin from 211 pounds. Show me someone else who has lost over 200 pounds in their thirties without loose skin.
As for ideas of definition and relevance, your ideas of what? I should look like and mine are completely different. Am I completely healthy and eliminated all heart risk factors? Yes.
January 28, 2012
@bowulf Bro, you aren’t even at or below 15% body fat and you still have tons of lower belly fat showing through your shirt in your video from a week ago. Your ideas of relevance? and definition may be good enough for you. But, I promise that it isn’t for anyone else.
Good luck working on the eight pack you will never achieve due to a lax diet.
January 28, 2012
@Jallandhara huh? I lost 211 pounds and have much better muscle definition now than ever before. Watch? one of my latest videos on sodium if you want to be relevant.
January 28, 2012
@TheCanontube? Thanks!
January 28, 2012
Implying sodium levels are not important. The gained water weight from such high sodium foods almost completely negate no or low carb diets. This is why you see so few Atkins? followers with aesthetic muscle definition.

i love cooking dude who concerns about health, keep? on the spirit!
